NextReports Engine Documentation

You can download a Demo integration archive (contains the demo java code, all jar dependcies, nextreports engine library, nextreports engine javadoc). The examples from here show how to export a Next report in a supported output format : HTML, EXCEL, PDF, CSV, TSV, RTF, XML, TXT.

What you need from the jar files is shown below :

  • nextreports-engine.jar is needed for all type of exports
  • xstream.jar is needed for all type of exports
  • commons-logging.jar is needed for all type of exports
  • commons-jexl.jar is needed for all type of exports
  • winstone.jar is a light server used for chart preview
  • jofc.jar is a flash library used for charts
  • itext.jar is needed just for PDF and RTF exports
  • itext-rtf.jar is needed just for RTF export
  • poi.jar is needed just for EXCEL export
  • poi-contrib.jar is needed just for EXCEL export
  • jcommon.jar is needed for exporting reports which contain charts
  • jfreechart.jar is needed for exporting reports which contain charts
  • jcalendar.jar is not needed (it is used for the swing demo).
  • derby.jar is not needed (it is used just to connect to demo derby database)
